In May this year we were asked to write a guest blog post for the Dutch Australian blog, a page for Dutch people with an Australian background, and Australians with Dutch connections. ABC of Holland is becoming quite popular amongst the international community of Holland, so our children’s book about Holland could very well interest this community as well! In the following weeks after the post got published we received quite.
ABC of Holland on display in shops and museumshops and they love to be in window displays! Look at these, both the ABC of Holland and Het ABC van Nederland in window displays of some lovely shops and well positioned in other great stores. Thank you shop owners and shop managers! In this picture; Rijksmuseum, De Nieuwe Kerk, cadeauwinkel Jarig, boekhandel De Evenaar, Cobra Museum, American Book Center. This is.
Another official moment for Het ABC van Nederland; Queens Day 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand, where Merle Sophie ‘signed’ copies of Het ABC van Nederland. Of course if was ‘her’ book, since it was created for her. We decided to keep this very special limited signed copy for herself and told to ask permission first when she decides to have a signing session ;-).
Did you know that the first copy of the Dutch version of our children’s book about Holland ‘Het ABC van Nederland’ was officially given to the Dutch ambassador of Thailand, sir Tjaco van den Hout. It was at the Queen’s Day reception back in 2011 on the premisses of the Dutch embassy and official residence of the ambassador in the centre of Bangkok. It was nearly 40 degrees Celsius, and we were clearly.
In June 2011 we sent a copy of the Dutch Het ABC van Nederland to than Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima, the current king and queen of the Netherlands, it only took them a day or two to send a thank you note to us for receiving the gift. Impressive!
